FYI for March 21st

Congratulations and Thank You!!!

Thanks to everyone who voted for us in the NBC4 $10,000 Grant Contest.
The Marching Tigers were selected as 1 of 3 finalists in the Large
School Division!!! Regardless of the outcome, NBC4 will run a feature
profile on the Tiger Band program! We should find out the winner by
May 16th. Keep crossing those fingers! A HUGE thanks to Patty Olmsted
who put the grant application together for the kids and Mr. Howard for
nominating us! Go Tigers!

BLUE JACKETS PERFORMANCE and GAME

The Pep Band and Purple Jazz Band will be playing this Friday (3/22/13)
at the Columbus Blue Jackets game. The band will meet at PHSC @ 5 PM
and depart for the game PROMPTLY @ 5:15 PM. If you need longer than 15
minutes to get organized…please plan accordingly! We will be playing
in two locations in Nationwide Arena beginning @ 6:30 PM.
Students and chaperones need to pay $20 (which will be collected as we
load the bus on Friday) and that will provide a reduced ticket and a
Blue Jackets Hat.

FYI for March 13th
Great job at the concert last Thursday and at Contest Friday evening.
The students worked incredibly hard to prepare and represented us well.
Thanks to everyone who came to Groveport to support us.

Kansas State Wind Ensemble – Friday March 15th.

We are helping PHSN Band host this great ensemble. The concert is in
the Central Gym due to events already booked in the North PAC & Gym.

We are DESPERATELY in need of housing. We currently have 30 more
students to house. PLEASE read the attached flyer and contact Mr.
Parulekar @ North. Email: marc_parulekar@plsd.us or call the North
Band Room @ 614-830-2740. They are handling arrangements.

Both bands will play their District Contest Programs and sight read
for parents and audience to observe.  This will be a "dry run" for
contest on Friday and give our audience a chance to see
what happens in the sight reading portion.
